Low Cost Fast Alternative To Aluminum Machining

Using a proprietary etching process, PEI manufactures photochemically-etched aluminum parts at a significantly lower cost and with faster delivery times than aluminum parts produced by traditional machining methods. PEls process provides clean etched profiles, because the aluminum does not oxidize during etching. PEl etches all types of standard aluminum alloys, in thicknesses up to 0.070 in.; to meet the most stringent customer requirements, PEl can also custom-etch exotic aluminum alloys upon request. Uses for photochemically-etched aluminum parts include heat sinks and other heat dissipating devices, and many other applications in the aircraft, medical, microwave, electronics, and appliance industries requiring light-weight parts.
