Photoetched Large-Scale Plates up to 120” Long
August 3, 2015
July 9, 2015, Milford, MA…Photofabrication Engineering, Inc. (PEI) has developed captive technology to photochemically machine large scale plates in almost all metals, including titanium, aluminum and stainless steel. PEI can manufacture etched plates in sizes up to 120” long, 28” wide, and 0.125” thick. The company can easily support large production quantities, faster and more inexpensively than conventional machining methods. Larger etched plates such as these can be used in energy storage equipment supporting wind farms and solar farms, fuel cells, and structural components used in aerospace applications. Wherever large-scale etched metal plates are required, PEI can support the applications.
Founded in 1968, PEI is a leader in the photochemical machining industry, known for outstanding product quality, competitive pricing, and fast turn-around times. With their extensive experience, PEI can manufacture single- or double-sided plates without incurring the stresses associated with typical machining methods; dimensions can be held to extremely high tolerances. The result is exceptionally smooth surfaces and channels, even with multiple channel depths on the same plate, with no burrs or other surface irregularities.
PEI is proud to say that all of our products are manufactured in the USA. For additional information about PEI’s Precision Metal Products Division, visit www.photofabrication.com, or call 1.508.478.2025.
