Quality & Standards

PEI offers each and every customer the highest level of quality assurance in the industry. With over 30 years of experience, our quality control expertise is specific to photo chemical machining. PEI complies with and exceeds the most stringent customer, military, and international standards, and is recognized by the RAB (the U.S. Registrar Accreditation Board) and the UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service). In manufacturing, PEI is in full compliance with ISO 9001:2000. Our manufacturing equipment and test equipment are in compliance with MIL-STD-45662, and we have the in-house capability to verify plating thickness through state of the art, non destructive technology. Our sampling procedures allow for individual customers' specifications, as well as MIL-STD-105. We have complete first-piece inspection report capability, and submit to annual or bi-annual quality systems and calibration auditing by our customers.

PEI's executive staff meets twice a year to conduct a management review of our ISO system. PEI is in the high 90th percentile in internal quality, external quality, and on-time delivery to customers. Our on-going commitment to quality is backed firmly by our President and management team.

Inspection

In our Inspection Department, PEI has a sophisticated optical gauging system with 18 in. x 24 in. x 8 in. (45.72 cm x 60.96 cm x 20.32 cm) capacity. This system gives PEI the ability to make more detailed measurements at a much higher AQL level. As a result, statistical data will now be gathered regularly to help PEI make further improvements which will assist in improving the internal and external quality control levels for both PEI and our customers.

Cleaner Technology

In addition, PEI has instituted an Environmental Management System (EMS), partially funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, that has resulted in our being named a "Cleaner Technology Demonstration Site" by the State, and has also gained us recognition from the Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Institute.
