Fabricated from virtually any metal or alloy – including FDA-approved materials such as 316 Stainless Steel and pure nickel – PEI’s screens, strainers and filters meet the most stringent quality requirements for food applications. These products are available in average thicknesses from 0.5 mil (0.0127 mm) to 100 mil (2.54 mm), with features as small as 45 mil (0.10 mm) on 0.010 in. (0.254 mm) centers. PEI excels in producing filters, screens and strainers in high-density patterns with up to 90% coverage. They can be fabricated in myriad shapes and sizes with round or hexagonal holes, ovals and slots.
PEI manufactures etched metal parts using photochemical machining, which eliminates the burrs, stresses and deformations created by the metal stamping process. Phototools, which PEI creates in-house, are very inexpensive relative to other types of metal stamps or molds, and can be created and modified in a fraction of the time. Because PEI performs all of its manufacturing processes in-house (tool-making, plating and forming), we offer quick turnaround on both prototypes and production orders at extremely competitive prices. Typical delivery of production orders is three weeks from receipt of order and customer prints.
