Photofabrication Engineering (PEI) has been awarded certification under AS9100, quality standards established by the aircraft and aerospace industry. Achieving this award in recognition of high quality levels in “photochemical machining and assembly of precision and decorative metal parts” signifies that PEI is among the top companies providing photochemically-etched metal parts and components for the aerospace and defense industries. In addition, the company’s manufacturing process has achieved ISO-9002:2008 certification.

AS9100 registration certifies that PEI, along with its vendors, has achieved a superior and consistent product quality, a tighter quality control system, and a more consistent flow of quality–when analyzed against the provisions of ISO:9001:2008 and AS9100 Revision B, in accordance with the requirements of AS9104A–than other, similar manufacturers. The National Quality Assurance, USA, audit found zero nonconformance in PEI’s metal certifications, plating operations, and general operation.

In 2010, PEI was granted certification under the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), allowing us to provide weapon systems components and accessories in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations implemented by the Department of State.

These high global quality standards were published by the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) in cooperation with the Americas Aerospace Quality Group (AAQG) and with input from ANSI/ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and IAAR (Independent Association of Accredited Registrars). As a result, PEI can be found on OASIS – the On-line Aerospace Supplier Information System – and is subject to continual audits by the NQA, the results of which are reported on OASIS.
